Leo Exhibitions builds red dot – the largest stand at Index show and the first red dot stand in Dubai and Middle East

Leo Exhibitions LLC, a leading stand design and construction specialist in Dubai was appointed to build the largest stand at the recently held Index show 2008 which is also the first red dot stand in Dubai and the Middle East. The show was held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The stand was custom made to display 80+ red dot award-winning products from 19 countries and was visited by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, on 3 December.

The exhibition lasted for five days and it was proven to be a successful platform for the red-dot winning companies who presented themselves to more than 30,000 visitors marking their success in a world market with future potentials.

About the red dot design award

With approximately 11,000 entries from more than 60 nations, the red dot design award, the origins of which date back to 1955, is the largest and most renowned design competition in the world today. It is divided into the three disciplines “red dot award: product design”, “red dot award: communication design” and “red dot award: design concept”, which has been held annually in Singapore since 2005.

About the trade fair

With an exhibition area of almost 36,000 square metres, the Index 2008 is the largest interior design trade fair in the Middle East and Asia. The trade fair took place, for the eighteenth time, in the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. The organiser of the Index is dmg world media Dubai Ltd., a subsidiary of the dmg world media group of companies, one of the largest publishing companies and organisers of trade fair events worldwide. red dot presented itself on an exhibition area of more than 400 square metres as the highlight of the whole trade fair at which roughly 1,800 exhibitors from 60 nations were represented.
